I thought it was pronounced de-VON. We have a street in Chicago called Devon Ave, and that's how the street name is pronounced.
I assumed the final syllable was either a short e or possibly a short i sound, so pronounced Dev-en or Dev-in.
Nice name by the way and Happy Belated Birthday!

I was thinking dev-von, wonder if that has to do with being from Chicago like Katie.

I also think it's De-VON.
Isn't it funny, depending on where you from how you pronounced things. When I moved to MD a few years back, I said something about hawking up a loogy and they said they never heard that before, when i grew up hearing it in IL and even now, in IN i hear it, which reminds me of those emails i have gotten about, how do you know if you are a hoosier or illini. I hear snipets of where we have lived in dd voice & it cracks me up.
I thought Dev-von? Am I right???
